What each game is for
Fantasy football stopped being one thing years ago. Season-long squads, draft leagues, matchday games and card collecting are four different hobbies wearing the same name. Work out which one you actually want first; the choice inside each category is easy after that. Checked August 2026.

Three reasons, three different answers
"I already know every Premier League player"
This is the most common one and it has the clearest fix: a bigger pool. Fantasy Football Europe — ours — runs FPL's exact rules over all 96 clubs in Europe's top five leagues, so the same weekly ritual has 2,775 players in it instead of about 700. It is free, and the rules need no re-learning. Start with the Bundesliga if one league is where your curiosity is.
"Everyone owns the same eleven players"
No budget game solves this, ours included — if a player is good value, everybody buys him. The only real fix is a draft, where each player belongs to exactly one manager in your league. Fantrax is the strongest option, with the caveat that draft leagues need a committed group.
"I want something on Tuesday nights"
Then you want the official European game rather than any season-long domestic one. UCL Fantasy is built for exactly that and nothing else does it as well.

If you only watch the Premier League, FPL is a better game than ours: bigger leagues, more mates already in it, a decade of stats sites and podcasts around it. If you want licensed badges and kits, we cannot offer them — we draw our own. And if your group already runs an auction on Fantacalcio, nothing here replaces that.

Straight answers
What is the best alternative to Fantasy Premier League?
There isn't one answer, because people leave FPL for different reasons. If the player pool is what bores you, a game across Europe's top five leagues gives you 96 clubs instead of 20. If it's the template, a draft league on Fantrax removes it entirely. If you want midweek football, UEFA's Champions League game is the official one. Fantasy Football Europe is ours, and it's the first of those three.
Is there a fantasy football game with more than one league?
Yes. Fantasy Football Europe puts the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 into a single player pool — 96 clubs, 2,775 players — so one squad of 15 can hold players from all five at once, under one £100m budget.
Are these alternatives free?
FPL, UEFA's game, LaLiga Fantasy, Fantrax's standard leagues and Fantasy Football Europe are all free to play. Sorare is free to enter but competitive line-ups need cards you buy.
Can I keep playing FPL as well?
Yes, and most people do. None of these games require you to leave another. They cost nothing but the ten minutes a week you were spending anyway.
